Vlogging Has Re-Entered The Chat…

I’m still waiting on the autumn weather to grace us with it’s presence here in Tennessee, but as I prepare for a more cozy atmosphere I was recently re-introduced to a long lost love of mine…
Vlogging!

When I was in high school I loved filming my life behind the scenes and sharing vlogs with my followers. Capturing experiences across the board was a passion of mine. Whether it was shows, life in the country, my trips overseas, or my first trip to LA, I would film the fun along the way and edit together a little vlog as a keepsake. Last December I even tried out my new camera with a holiday vlog here in Franklin, TN. (Ashamed to say, before my holiday vlog in 2023 my last vlog was a Christmas Diary 9 years ago!)

Back in the early days of vlogging, YouTube culture was massive. I had a favorite YouTuber I followed called Zoella. She did beauty videos and shopping hauls, but my favorite videos of hers were the ones that were “Day in the life”. Eventually, she stopped posting on her Zoella page and started a channel just for her vlogs. She stopped posting quite as much as she started a family and had more going on in her life. Recently, she did a thing called Vlogust and I’ve been following along. It’s been so fun watching her life with her sweet little family.
I started wondering why I ever stopped doing vlogs myself. I think a major part of it was life got busy when I moved to Nashville and balancing my day job / music work was a struggle. My life didn’t feel exciting and worth sharing. As I was watching Zoe’s videos I realized sometimes it’s nice to see someone living a normal life and making the little moments worthy of sharing.
All this to say, I think I’m going to challenge myself until the end of the year to post a new YouTube video every Wednesday alternating between one music related video and one vlog. I’m putting it out there so you guys can keep me accountable! Comment if you’re in and go subscribe to my YouTube Channel so you won’t miss anything.
This weeks video is my September vlog of my trip home to NC for a band show. Next week will be a new song I wrote. The week after will be a new vlog!

I’m going to try to keep it up until the end of the year and then see where to goes from there!
